Since 1905, our family farm in Mantua, New Jersy has been growing crops and raising livestock through the generations. Now in our 4th and 5th generations working the land side-by-side, it's our greatest joy to carry on the family legacy.
Our newest addition is a charming farm stand in nearby Mt. Royal, bringing our homegrown goodness right to your neighborhood. For decades we've supplied quality products to stores and markets, but we've always dreamed of that personal connection with you, our community. Now, our brick-and-mortar stand invites you into our family.

Pasture Raised Chicken
We, at The Farmers Market, are dedicated to raising top-quality chickens through ethical and sustainable methods. Our chickens come from a reputable hatchery in Pennsylvania and receive careful attention from the moment they arrive on our farm.
Right from the start, our chicks have access to unlimited amounts of non-GMO feed supplied by Stevens Feed Mill, a local family mill in Pennsylvania that we proudly collaborate with.
Once their feathers begin to grow, typically around 2-3 weeks, the chicks are able to regulate their own body temperature and we are able to let them explore the pasture. We move our mobile chicken tractors to fresh pasture areas daily, ensuring that our chickens have plenty of grasses, legumes, and grubs to scratch, forage, and feed on.
At around 8 weeks of age, the chickens are humanely processed at Goffle Road Poultry, a family-owned USDA-inspected poultry facility in New Jersey. This partnership enables us to offer our customers a wide variety of high-quality cuts. By working with a local processor, we prioritize the needs of our community.
Our pasture raised chickens lead stress-free lives, enjoying a diet of fresh pasture and non-GMO feed out in the open air with plenty of roam to just be a chicken. We believe that this care and attention translates into the delicious flavor and tenderness of our chicken.

Our roadside farm market is located in the beautiful town of Mt. Royal, New Jersey. Here, you can find answers to all your questions and even visit our farm animals.
We operate as a seasonal market, open seven days a week from spring through December. For our current hours, please follow us on Instagram or Facebook.
Our market offers a wide range of products, including our pasture raised chicken, fresh produce, raw local honey, organic cage free eggs, fresh cut bouquets, jams, jellies, dressings, barbecue sauces, seasonings, and a gift shop filled with seasonal items.
